Glas Hotel 4*: Zary (2026}

This hotel has been one of the biggest and most pleasent surprises of any hotel we’ve stayed at to date and appears to either having been built or refurbished not that long ago. Set in the town of Zary in the west of Poland some 15 miles from the German border we chose to stay here due to its location from the famous Great Escape camp , Stalag Luff 3 and what a little gem it is. Its a no frills hotel so while there aren’t loads of facilities like pool etc it really does what we need it to for an overnight stay. Our room was a suite and was massive with seperate lounge area which had a tv and a sofa that turned into a double bed. The on-suite was also big with a really nice shower. There is a restaurant that served food until 9pm and it was good quality and a real decent amount, particularly for those that had fries. Other things to note is that there is a good amount of parking it isn’t under cover but is watched over by security cameras at the main reception desk which is manded 24/7

Pro’s –  Size of rooms. Fit and finishes. Parking covered by maned CCTV

Cons – Limited extra’s like pool etc

Rating – 8.75/10

Hotel Novotel – Krackow

Postponed due to the ongoing situation in the Ukraine

New for 2022 the crew venture to Poland and the beautiful city of Krackow in the South West of the country. Synonymous with the Auschwitz death camps used by the Nazi’s to slaughter over 1 million jews the city still clearly wears the scares of the dark days of this chapter in history

Pro’s – TBC

Cons – TBC

Rating TBC
